The ‘Power-Up’ transition programme has three stages, one for each month

DISCOVERY – DEVELOPMENT – TRANSITION

Each month there are two modules of two lessons

Each lesson consists of an audio, a workbook and a one hour coaching session

The programme can be run over a shorter timescale if required, including an intensive one-week delivery

MODULE ONE

Self Discovery

OUTCOME

  • Gain a clear understanding of your personal interests and strengths.

  • Develop insights into how these might be utilised in ‘life-after-work’.

  • Answers to the questions ‘Where am I now?’ and ‘How did I get here’ – which may not be what you might think!

DESCRIPTION

This is the starting point, you embark on a journey of self-discovery. By identifying your ideas, values, interests, passions, and strengths, you’ll be able to start to map out a meaningful and fulfilling future beyond your current role and identity.

MODULE TWO

Purpose Discovery

OUTCOME

  • Answers to the questions ‘Where am I going?’ and ‘Why do I want to go there?’ – which, again, may not be what you might think!

  • Identify a renewed purpose for the next phase of your life.

  • Learn to step into this next phase with confidence supported by your ‘why’ and a defined ‘starting point.

DESCRIPTION

The 'Purpose Discovery' module involves deep, perhaps lengthy, reflection exercises and visualisation techniques to help you discover and validate your new purpose beyond your work identity. You will leave this module feeling empowered and confident about your next phase of life.

MODULE THREE

Process Development

OUTCOME

  • Develop a clear action plan for all aspects of your ‘life-after-work’.

  • Understand what needs to be done.

  • Understand the differences between ‘Dreams’ or ‘Visions’, Goals and Plans and the different ‘domains’ of life you’ll need to consider.

DESCRIPTION

In this ‘foundation’ module, you’ll start to build a clear roadmap for your journey into the future. Through a clear understanding of goal-setting and action planning, you’ll gain the tools and techniques you need to navigate this significant transition. You may well find this quite different from any change you’ve managed before.

MODULE FOUR

Support Development

OUTCOME

  • Understand the options, opportunities, finance matters and other essential non-financial requirements to support your new way of life.

  • Gain confidence in discussing your plans with your potential supporters.

  • Develop strategies to support your new future.

DESCRIPTION

This module will guide you in how to prepare yourself for the way forward. You’ll learn to ‘let go’ of the ‘past’ and the need for forgiveness and gratitude to facilitate this. We’ll discover who and what to avoid and how to identify ‘partners in believing’ who’ll support you in what may be a complex period of setting yourself free.

MODULE FIVE

Managing Transition

OUTCOME

  • Gain enhanced resilience and ability to manage transitions.

  • Develop effective stress management techniques.

  • Identify likely obstacles in the way of your transition and consider ways around, over or through them.

DESCRIPTION

Building on the previous module, you'll learn stress management techniques, how to deal with anxiety, and resilience-building strategies. You’ll learn to have faith and belief in yourself and transmit this to others. We’ll revisit the work you did in Modules 2 and 3 and fill out any additional detail or clarity. This module prepares you emotionally to manage the way forward seamlessly.

MODULE SIX

Harvesting Transition

OUTCOME

  • Define a clear vision of your future and how you’re going to get there.

  • Feel confident in what you are ding next to step into the ‘new you’.

  • Have set clear and unambiguous intentions and put in place a ‘method of operation’ to ensure you achieve them.

DESCRIPTION

In this module you’ll ‘launch’ your new ‘business’ of being YOU in ‘life-after-work’. You'll learn confidence-building exercises and ongoing action planning techniques to face any future fears and uncertainties. By paying attention to your intention without tension and with the support of your ‘team’ you can be confident your expectations will be met. This module ensures you step into your next phase ‘Powered Up’ with a sense of renewed significance and life force. Perhaps it’s time for a ‘starting party’!

Who Am I?

For over 50 years I’ve worked with organisations and individuals helping them develop and expand their vision of who they want to be and what they want to do with their life or business, bridge the gap between where they are and where they want to be, and accelerate the achievement of their goals.

I’m often described as ‘wise’ and like to think I have a friendly gravitas which comes partly from age and experience but also from a lifelong commitment to learning and personal development.

I’m a certified Life Coach, RTT (Rapid Transformational Therapy) therapist, and Soul Realignment, Emotion Code, Reiki, Language and Behaviour analysis and Ho’oponopono practitioner.

I’ve created, owned and run several small businesses in different sectors successfully developing them over typically a 10-year life cycle.

I’ve worked with major public sector companies helping improve internal information communication and business processes.

Qualified as a Master of Business Administration from the prestigious Warwick Business School, I’m a Fellow of the Royal Society for the encouragement of the Arts, Manufactures and Commerce (FRSA).

For 20 years as a tutor with Warwick Business School, I helped MBA students understand and apply marketing strategy, information management, organisational behaviour and other aspects of operating a business at senior level.
